NONESUCH founder Abigail Carroll began making clothes at the age of 6, repurposing her father’s used jeans to make halter tops for herself and neighbourhood friends.
She later studied apparel design at ESMOD (Paris) as well as at Parson School of Design and FIT (NYC).
While living in Paris, Abigail launched Béfit, a made-to-measure women’s line manufactured in France. When her Maison de confection partner shuttered, as so many high-end cutting and stitching houses in Europe have, she preferred to up shop rather than move operations to Asia.
Eventually she returned to her home state where she became Maine's Accidental Oyster Farmer.

Today, having sold her farm, Abigail is back in textiles, this time stateside, making keepsake apparel and accessories in New England with sustainability in mind.
